Children's Ministries
At Christ the King, the goal of Children’s Ministry is that children, ages birth-6th grade, learn that God loves them, that they learn about and have the opportunity to accept the saving grace of Jesus, that they grow in their faith, that we equip parents to continue spiritual development at home and that the children can’t wait to come back
On Sunday mornings we offer these classes for our children:
Nursery (for children birth-2 1/2 years old)
This class is staffed by loving volunteers who have a great time with the children through play, Bible stories and lots of hugs.
Preschool (for children 2 1/2 years- 4 years old)
Our preschool class learns hands-on Bible lessons as they begin to experience Scripture through stories, songs, play and crafts. This class meets during the worship service
Kid's Church (for children Kindergarten-4th grade)
KidsOwnWorship encourages kids to focus on the one most important thing in life: a growing relationship with Jesus. Each class helps kids focus on this one thing, whether they are studying Bible stories from the Old or New Testament, they will be challenged to grow closer to Jesus every week. Kids in this class enjoy worship their families and are dismissed for class at the sermon time of the service.
Preteen (5th-6th grade)
Our preteen class uses the Grapple curriculum, as they "grapple" with questions such as "What Difference Can I Make?", "What if I Pray Really Hard and God Says No?", "Who Should I Listen To?". This material reaches preteens where they are at with relevant discussions and Scripture to answer some of their toughest questions. This class begins in the main worship service and is dismissed at sermon time to meet.
