Welcome to Christ the King Church

Missions and Outreach

Christ the King itself began as mission of a group believers who desired to reach out and establish a church in Castle Rock. As a result missions and outreach in our community, our country and our world are an important part of ministry at CKPC.

You can find CKPC in the community at various events sponsored by the Town of Castle Rock and the Chamber of Commerce. Look for us at the upcoming All About Kid's Day, the Castle Rock Starlight Movie Series, the Castle Pines North Octoberfest and the Castle Rock Task Force Adopt-A-Family program.

In addition as a church we sponsor seven missionaries, both in funds and prayers. Our missionaries serve all over the world, from the Philippines where they are actively helping the relief efforts there after the recent typhoons, to missionaries who run children's homes for orphaned or displaced children in Colombia, Zimbabwe and Nepal. We sponsor missionaries who plant churches and train pastors in Nepal, and who oversee Christian humanitarian operations in Haiti and Africa.

Missions trips are also a part of ministry at CKPC, some past trips have included Jaurez Mexico the Gulfport Mississippi area, helping in the Hurricane Katrina relief efforts and our teens have just returned from a trip to Jacksonville Florida.

Do you know how rapidly Christianity is growing around the world? Each and every day there are 10,000 new Christians in China, 6,000 in India and 41,000 on the continent of Africa. Have you ever wondered:

  • Why is Christianity growing so fast in the non-western world?
  • What can we do as Americans to help this growing church?
  • How we can make an impact on the global church without leaving home?

John Stott Ministries and Christianity Today International bring you the “Global Church Tour: Helping American Christians become Global Christians.”

This is an opportunity to learn directly from global church leaders. Each conference will include these leaders speaking on issues specific to their regions of the world and how Christians worldwide can respond. The theme for the 2007-2008 tour is:

“Working Together for the Cause of Christ:
Building God’s Global Church”

Christ the King has joined with Cherry Creek Presbyterian Church to bring this important workshop to Colorado.  Join us on Friday October 17 for an evening of International Worship and Saturday October 18 for a conference that will consist of workshops presented by speakers from Lebanon, Brazil, Burkina Faso and India.  The cost to attend is $20 per person.  For more details or to sign up contact the church office.
